Eddie brought a saxophone to the house for Bud.

The guest bedroom Bud was staying in was his mother’s room when she was a little girl.

Bud discovered a rock collection in the glove compartment of Mr. Calloway’s Packard. The rocks had writing on them and numbers just like the rocks buds mom gave him.

Mr. Calloway didn’t visit his daughter Angela and grandson Bud because Mr. Calloway didn’t know about Bud. Bud’s mom ran away and Mr. Calloway didn’t know where she was.

Angela, Mr. Calloway’s daughter ran away because Mr. Calloway was hard on her and kept pushing her to be the first Calloway to get schooling all the way till collage.

Mr. Calloway was so stubborn in accepting Bud because Mr. Calloway thought Bud was trying to fool everyone. Mr. Calloway thought Bud was a liar. I think the relationship between Bud and Mr. Calloway will change because when Bud went to cheek on Mr. Calloway, Mr. Calloway tried to apologize to Bud.
